our annual 12x12 exhibition kicks off on friday 12 june 2009 at ambush gallery in sydney before heading to no vacancy gallery in melbourne from 3-12 july 2009. now in it's third year, the show features 12 artists from all over australia, 12 artworks each at 12x12 inches in size. this year's participating artists are adrian knott, ainslie fletcher, bridge, justin lee williams, kareena zerefos, kid zoom, luke taaffe, max berry, meggs, phibs, simon degroot and twoone. this issue we interviewed some of the artists in the show. first up is phibs, one of australia's most prolific street artists, originally from sydney but currently working at everfresh studio in melbourne. next is the sydney based low-brow stickerpunk, design nerd, zine dork and oh really co-director, max berry. third is torquay based artist and rake clothing designer, adrian knott. this issue we also interviewed talented illustrator nate holmes trapnell from melbourne's gorker gallery. and lastly we feature the work of brisbane based artist kitty horton. the artwork gallery section features new work by some of the australian artists in the 12x12 exhibition, including meggs, luke taaffe, bridge, twoone, simon degroot, kareena zerefos, justin lee williams, ainslie fletcher and more. and this issue's photo gallery features new black and white photos by watim founder/editor, artist & photographer beastman. australian artists email us some samples of your work to be part of future issues. please contact us if you are keen to help us out in any way or would like to get involved in our upcoming projects. the [weAREtheIMAGEmakers] book project is coming in late 2009 and the annual 12x12 exhibition opens in sydney june 12 and melbourne july 3. stay tuned to our home page blog to get the heads-up on upcoming art exhibitions and events all over the country. hope to see you at 12x12, bring your krudd money! - be
